Cherishing Friends and Family in a Small Michigan Town

"Living in a small town has taught me over the years that you need to cherish the little things in life--family, friends, your pets, your home, your town, everything like that. Because in a bigger city, you might take things more for granted than you do cherish them. In a small town, I cherish everyone that I love--my home and my town because we're just like a huge family and you cherish things like that more than you do a shopping mall or a bowling alley or things like that, so I think living in a small town has really taught me to cherish the small things and not to take for granted the things that I do have like my family, my friends, and my home.
