Why Freedom to Travel is Important

"Freedom to travel is incredibly important especially in our modern day in age. We're so connected to everyone but often lack the tangible connections that you can only get walking down the street or visiting someone's home. Throughout my work, I've been able to travel not only across the United States but across Europe as well, and I've had the wonderful experience of getting to meet and work with people from not only different areas of the U.S. but across different countries and who speak different languages, and learning to communicate not only about work but about our shared experiences has enriched my life in ways that I can't even express. I think that without the experience of other people's way of life, we lack the fundamental ability to understand what's important about our own."
