What We Do for Fun in Plano, Texas

"Hi, I'm from Plano, Texas, and in our community, we really just like to go to concerts, have fun, football games, fairs, festivals that come into town, but mainly it's concerts. We all have big get togethers, family dinners. Most of the people around here are just out, maybe at like car shows or parties just having fun."

Part of the "Stories from Main Street" project--an effort to collect stories about small-town life across the United States. The project was the brainchild of the Smithsonian's "Museum on Main Street" program, an initiative that brings traveling exhibitions about subjects of national importance to small towns across America.
