Using Your Voice in a Small Town, Woodbine, Iowa

Woodbine, Iowa

Story Narrative:

Speaker 1: How do you think being a part of a small town impacts the way that community issues are solved?

Speaker 2: Oh, I think that impacts a lot, to be involved in the community. I mean, everything that's decided . . . decisions made about the community. . . if you're not voting, and you're not part of it, and you're not involved, and you don't understand what's going on, then you don't have a say in it, and that's your voice. And especially being in a small town, I think in a small town, you just have a voice that is heard better, because in a big city, in a big place, your voice is just a number sometimes. But in a small town, I feel like that impact is greater, and I love being involved in a community. I love doing things like this. You guys are super cute.
