A Small-Town Upbringing Stays With You

Cheney, Washington

Story Narrative:

Cheney, Washington
What does living in a small town teach you?

"Living in a small town, you can't beat it. There's really nothing like it. You grow up and you have these small town morals and values instilled in you and you carry those with you throughout the rest of your life and you pass it on to your kids.

I'm from Forks, Washington and I spend a good 25 years there before I moved to the east side of Seattle. There's a real big change in people and it's taking some time to getting used to. You can definitely tell the difference between someone that lives in a small town to someone that was born and raised in a metropolitan city. The way they act towards people. The way they just generally are, I mean I wouldn't trade growing up in a small town for anything."
