How do sports bring people together in your town?

"In Nebraska everyone knows how important high school football is. No, it's not life and death but every Friday night it's what bring everybody together to cheer on their hometown heroes. That is one reason why I love not only to play football, but to play for Cozad. I have been a huge football fan my whole life. I guess you could say football is my life. I still remember being the student manager for the Cozad High School football team my whole elementary life. Watching all the kids play every year and getting so anxious and excited for when I finally get to be one of those guys. Before you know it, it's here. Fall, the season of football. Everyone in the town looking forward to Friday night. They are all looking for one thing, not necessarily a win but for the football team to play hard and represent the town to the best of their abilities. Sure, a win would be great but it's not life and death. In my opinion Cozad is a great town. No matter what goes on in the week or the month or the year. You can always count on football season and what goes on on Friday night. Every season people want it to be better than the previous. Each game wanted it to be better than the previous. All for the town and the people and the greatness of Cozad."
