Diversity of Cultures in Indiantown, Florida

Indiantown, Florida

Story Narrative:

"I want to say what things make unique our town, our small town. I think it's the diversity of the cultures here, especially the festivals. One is the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the traditional festival for Cinco de Mayo, plus Reina le Maya, that means to create a celebration to try to choose the Mayan Queen.

This kind of celebration comes from the Guatemalan people. And, Cinco de Mayo is for the the Mexican people really, and the Guadalupe is general. Another thing that I think is special is a part of the center of education of the family is the mom. We come from different places, so different cultures. It's the first example of respect."
