"Hello, I'm going to talk about some of the sports in my town. So, our biggest team is Oklahoma State University, which their mascot is the Cowboys, and sports bring us together whenever there's a football game, family and people from other countries come and visit and even around the world. And, they all come together to meet in one place--the OSU fooball stadium, so you get to see a lot of new people and faces, and it's really cool. Thank you!"
Part of the "Stories from Main Street" project--an effort to collect stories about small-town life across the United States. The project was the brainchild of the Smithsonian's "Museum on Main Street" program, an initiative that brings traveling exhibitions about subjects of national importance to small towns across America.
