"In Gainesville, Georgia the way sports brings people together for the natives of Gainesville, Georgia, I would say it was softball or baseball. A lot of parents with children would get together and watch pretty much all the games and encourage their children.
For the Spanish people living in the community soccer was really big. It brought people together watching the games. Whether they knew somebody that was playing in the indoor soccer arena or not, they would go and watch and people would talk together and all get together for dinners to local restaurants afterward it was a lot of fun."
