Buffalo Island is a unique area of land in Northeast Arkansas that possesses some of the most fertile soil in the world. This area was originally surrounded by swamps created by the St. Francis River on one side and Big Lake on the other. With determination and hard work, our ancestors were able to make Buffalo Island into the modern day farms we see now.
