Panels

The production of Between Fences is now underway at the Smithsonian's Office of Exhibits Central (OEC). These exhibition panels are awaiting the application of printed graphics.

Panel Parts

Between Fences will feature a panel composed of vinyl privacy fencing.

Post Assembly

A post is assembled for the fence panel prototype.

Camlock demonstration

Camlocks in the channels between fence panels lock the pieces together.

The panels assemble quickly.

With one last turn of the camlock, the fence panel is complete.

The fence panels are light and easy to handle.

The completed "Good Fences Make Good Neighbors" section will feature a low wall that resembles a stone fence. Visitors will be able to talk to one another over the stone fence.

"Good Fences Make Good Neighbors" will also include text, images, and a reproduction tree along with the privacy fence panel.
